Ana Gambill is an HR leader, entrepreneur, author, speaker, and the creator of The Grounded Leadership Method™ — a leadership philosophy centered on presence, emotional steadiness, growth, and human-centered leadership.
With more than a decade of experience in Human Resources and leadership, Ana has spent her career helping organizations navigate people, culture, communication, and change. Her professional journey has included leadership roles across multiple industries, along with years of experience supporting employees, leaders, and organizations through both growth and adversity.
But Ana’s leadership journey was shaped just as much outside of corporate environments as within them.
In 2020, during a season of uncertainty and transition, Ana founded Ana’s Norwegian Bakeri, which grew from a cottage food business into two storefront locations. While the business ultimately closed in 2024, the experience became one of the most transformational leadership seasons of her life — deepening her understanding of resilience, identity, burnout, vision, people leadership, and the emotional weight leaders often carry behind the scenes.
Through both success and hardship, Ana began to notice something missing in many leadership spaces: groundedness.
Too often, leadership focused on performance without presence, productivity without humanity, or positivity without emotional honesty. Those experiences ultimately inspired the development of The Grounded Leadership Method™ and the GRACE framework — built to help leaders lead with greater self-awareness, intentionality, steadiness, encouragement, and authenticity.
That work later evolved into her books, including The Grounded Leader, along with companion resources designed to help leaders grow both personally and professionally.
Today, Ana combines her background in HR, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and storytelling to help leaders become their best selves so they can help others do the same. Through speaking, writing, consulting, and leadership development, her mission is to help create healthier leaders, healthier workplaces, and more grounded organizational cultures.

The Grounded Leadership Method™ is a leadership philosophy created by Ana Gambill to help leaders lead with greater presence, emotional steadiness, intentionality, and authenticity.
Rather than focusing only on performance or productivity, The Grounded Leadership Method™ emphasizes the importance of how leaders show up — especially during moments of pressure, uncertainty, change, and growth.
At the center of the method is the GRACE framework:
Together, these pillars help leaders develop stronger self-awareness, healthier communication, grounded decision-making, and more human-centered leadership practices.
The Grounded Leadership Method™ was developed through Ana’s experiences in HR leadership, entrepreneurship, organizational culture, and personal growth — and serves as the foundation for her books, speaking, leadership development, and consulting work.
Leadership Outcomes
The method is designed to help leaders:
GRATITUDE → REFLECTION → AWARENESS → CHOICE → ENCOURAGEMENT

At some point in an HR career, knowing HR is no longer enough.
As responsibility grows, the questions become more complex. Policies intersect with people. Business needs compete with human needs. Decisions must be made with incomplete information, relationships influence outcomes, and even the right decision can create unintended consequences.
Highly Functional Chaos™: Executive HR Edition explores what happens when HR leadership moves beyond technical expertise and into the much more complicated territory of judgment, influence, organizational dynamics, and executive responsibility.
Built around the **C.H.A.O.S. framework—Clarify, Hold Systems, Adapt, Organize Energy, and Simplify—**the book offers a practical leadership system for navigating complexity without allowing complexity to become dysfunction. Through real-world leadership lessons, reflection, and practical application, Ana Gambill examines the realities of employee relations, organizational change, executive influence, difficult decisions, developing people, building sustainable systems, accountability, and the evolving weight of leadership authority.
This is not a book about creating a perfectly calm organization. Organizations are human systems, and human systems will always contain competing priorities, uncertainty, change, emotion, and complexity.
It is a book about becoming the kind of leader who can function exceptionally well within all of it.
For HR professionals moving into strategic and executive leadership—and for leaders navigating increasingly complex organizations—Highly Functional Chaos™ is an invitation to lead with greater clarity, judgment, adaptability, and intention.
Complexity does not have to become dysfunction.

The Grounded Leader
Leading with Presence, GRACE, and the Courage to Grow
The Grounded Leader is the foundation of The Grounded Leadership Method™ and introduces readers to a more human-centered, emotionally grounded approach to leadership.
Blending leadership insights, personal experiences, and reflective growth, the book explores what it means to lead with steadiness, self-awareness, authenticity, and intention — especially during moments of challenge, pressure, and change.
At the center of the book is the GRACE framework:
Gratitude, Reflection, Awareness, Choice, and Encouragement.
The intention behind The Grounded Leader is to help leaders better understand themselves so they can lead others with greater clarity, empathy, resilience, and purpose.

The Grounded Leader Workbook
A Companion to The Grounded Leader
The Grounded Leader Workbook was created to help readers move beyond simply understanding leadership concepts and begin actively applying them in their everyday lives and leadership experiences.
Designed as a practical companion to the main book, the workbook includes guided reflections, exercises, prompts, and opportunities for deeper self-exploration connected to The Grounded Leadership Method™ and the GRACE framework.
The intention of the workbook is to help leaders:
It transforms the concepts of the book into active leadership development work.

The Grounded Leader Journal
A Companion to The Grounded Leader
The Grounded Leader Journal was designed as an ongoing space for reflection, intentionality, and personal growth.
While the main book introduces the philosophy and the workbook guides structured application, the journal serves as a daily or ongoing leadership practice — helping leaders slow down, process their experiences, and remain connected to the principles of grounded leadership over time.
The journal encourages leaders to:
The intention behind the journal is to help grounded leadership become more than a concept — but a consistent way of showing up in both leadership and life.

Leadership, Growth, and the Courage to Continue Becoming
Growth does not mean we stop struggling. Leadership does not mean we always know what to do. And becoming more grounded does not mean we reach a place where life can no longer knock us off center.
The Grounded Leader: Becoming explores what happens after we begin the work of grounded leadership—when responsibility grows, life changes, confidence is tested, old patterns resurface, and we discover that growth itself can introduce new challenges.
Through personal reflection, practical leadership insights, and the Grounded Leadership Method™, Ana Gambill explores gratitude, reflection, awareness, choice, encouragement, boundaries, confidence, authenticity, purpose, courage, responsibility, and legacy. At the center of the book is GRACE—Gratitude, Reflection, Awareness, Choice, and Encouragement—a practical framework for returning to yourself when leadership, growth, relationships, responsibility, or difficult seasons pull you away from center.
This is not a book about perfect leadership. It is about learning to remain connected to yourself while continuing to grow. It is about developing the self-awareness to recognize when you have become ungrounded, the courage to examine what life is teaching you, and the self-trust to make intentional choices about who you want to become next.
Because becoming is not a destination.
Leadership is not something we arrive at—it is something we continuously become.
